About Ines
I am Irish born living in Dublin with my husband and two kids. After graduating from Commercial photography in DLIADT, Dublin I moved to London to assist as many successful creative photographers as possible. Assisting photographers gave me great opportunities to learn about studio lighting and how to work as a photographer in a large fast paced city. My passion for photography grew stronger and I soon moved on from assisting to working full time as a photographer in a busy portrait studio in South London.
Moving back to Dublin to set up my own photography business has been the best decision I have ever made. Ireland is an amazing forward thinking country with huge talent and appreciation for visual art. Becoming a member of the Irish Photography Association www.irishphotographers.com has helped me stay connected to lots of other photographers in Ireland.
Being a people person has without a doubt helped my career and I absolutely love getting to know the families and couples and the architects and clients that I photograph and work for.
I shoot architectural & property photographs, family portraits, head shots, weddings, PR events and landscape photographs.
My love for architecture comes from my Dad Sean Billings, a facade consultant. I photographed facades for the Billings Design Associates exhibition called Wall and for their latest website. www.billingsdesign.ie.
Architectural clients over the years have been OPW. Green Building Council and BKD.
It felt like a natural progression to start taking family portraits, head shots and work in portrait studios when I enjoy working with people. I have a huge interest in fashion and style, which comes from my Mum who designs and makes her own clothes and ran her own clothes business for years.
I am a hopeless romantic, so when I started assisting a wedding photographer in London, I knew that wedding photography was definitely for me. I like to shoot in a very naturalistic way, while not forgetting to capture all the personal details and amazing people at the wedding. I want the photographs to be a timeless piece of art while also making sure you enjoy the special day.
Landscape photography was my first love, I never get tired of photographing the coastline around Ireland.
I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to travel over the years, searching, exploring and capturing bizarre and beautiful landscapes with my camera. I have exhibited work and sold prints in London and Dublin.
