About Claire

I’m Claire Byrne the wedding photographer, not the presenter or the councillor, although I do get lots of calls & texts on my phone on the nights of Claire Byrne Live. :)

I’m a freelance photographer working throughout Ireland – and abroad – when I’m lucky. When I studied for a BA in photography at IADT, I didn’t initially set out to become a wedding photographer. I spent a year abroad travelling in 2012 and found myself more drawn to taking photos of the people than the scenery. I felt like I could see more of a story in the local faces than in historical buildings.

Real people inspire me so much that it made sense to start shooting weddings. 11 years later I’m still loving it.
