Congratulations to Nicola Webster AIPPA who won the overall IPPA National Portrait Week Award 2015.

The NPW 2015 Awards, sponsored by Canon, took place in the Mansion House, Dublin on June 2nd. Nicola’s image was taken during the charitable initiative for this year’s National Portrait Week campaign which raised funds for LauraLynn.

The runners up were Michelle O’Sullivan LIPPA and John McMahon LIPPA.

This year IPPA members raised €36,000 for LauraLynn, making it to date over €500,000 that has been raised for charities by members of the public donating €25 in exchange for a professional portrait experience. IPPA members give their time each year to this initiative and 100% of the proceeds go to charity.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in all the National Portrait Week events around the country for 2015, be it in front of the camera as a model, or behind the camera as a photographer.

Thanks also to those who helped out with the various events locally – including all the assistants and chaperones – and nationally, including Canon – Ireland our generous national sponsor, Photovalue Ltd., who are providing the presentation folders, the media who gave us such great coverage, and OnSight.ie who develop and maintain the website for the event free of charge each year.

And last but not least to all at LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice – it was a pleasure to raise money for you and to work with you on this venture. There was universal agreement amongst all participants that this was truly a great cause.

We are collating all the donations from all the different events so will keep you updated with the grand total once we have everything added up!
