Overall photographer of the year title

The Bank of Ireland Professional Photographer of the Year 2016 is Deirdre O’Keeffe.

Congratulations to Deirdre O’Keeffe who was announced as the Bank of Ireland Professional Photographer of the Year 2016 at a gala ceremony on Sunday, February 21st in the Radisson Royal Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin.

As well as the overall Photographer of the Year title, the IPPA Awards Programme for 2016 included 9 category awards recognising the very best in Irish professional photography across a range of genres.

Awards were presented in the following categories:

• Best Architectural Photographer 2016 Donal Murphy
• Best Commercial Photographer 2016 Kelvin Gillmor
• Best Fine Art Photographer 2016 Enda Cavanagh
• Best Landscape Photographer 2016 Michael McLaughlin
• Best Portrait Photographer 2016 Deirdre O’Keeffe
• Best Press & Photojournalism Photographer 2016 David Farrell
• Best Pictorial & Travel Photographer 2016 Peter Gordon
• Best Wedding Photographer 2016 Dermot Culhane
• Best Wildlife Photographer 2016 Philip Smyth
