Regarding the ongoing controversy around AXA insurance, OBF previously exclusively offering AXA, and recent proven developments where AXA sold its shares with Israeli banks, the council has engaged in discussions with OBF in the past few months. We have collectively decided to maintain our partnership with OBF due to the comprehensive coverage they provide through AXA, unmatched by other insurers.
While AXA offers the most extensive coverage for Irish photographers from a business perspective, each member has the autonomy to decide whether to renew with AXA or opt for an alternative insurer based on their business values. OBF will present an alternative choice to AXA for members looking to avoid dealings with AXA for their business requirements or you are obviously able to choose a different broker, but please be aware of the coverage you get with another insurance company.
This decision was made after many discussions and trying to keep the best for our members in mind.
